5B20.12 Gauss's Law (Faraday Ice Pail)

[Setup Time: 15 Min.] [Current Condition: Good]

Info

Two concentric cylinders connected to an electroscope can be used to demonstrate Gauss's Law. Lower a charged object into a metal cylinder and demonstrate the induced charge is unaffected by position. Then touch them together and demonstrate all the charge was positioned on the outer surface.

Current setup is non-functional. Please contact me if this is something you would like to use in the future
